Elementary Track and Field meet scheduled for today has a time change due to the weather. It is still on for today only now registration will start at 10:.00 AM and events will begin at 11:00 AM.

About the Wildcat Camp
The football camp is a great opportunity for young players to learn basic skills and fundamentals that are necessary for playing football. It is a mixture of work and fun. We are fortunate that several present players will help and make this camp enjoyable for the kids who attend.
Randy Wolff enters his 3rd season as the head coach of the Western Wayne Wildcats. Wolff has over 19 years coaching experience between Delaware Valley HS and Western Wayne. In his first two years at Western Wayne, Wolff has lead the Wildcats to an Eastern Conference Championship (2016) and the school’s first District 2 playoff berth in 2017.
The 84th Annual Lions Dream Game will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Valley View’s John Henzes Veterans Memorial Football Stadium in Peckville. Kick-off is at 7:00 PM. Western Wayne has 4 selected to the team, Cole Fuller, Bailey Walck, Ben Burkhardt, and Luke Silfies.
Pre-sale tickets are now available in the Athletic Office with Mrs. Rizzi, contact her at crizzi@westerwayne.org or stop in the high school office between the hours of 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Cost is Adults $10.00 and Children under 12 are $5.00. These are not discounted, but you will not have to wait in line on the day of the game.
The Western Wayne Track Foundation, in association with The Wayne Youth Advisory Committee will
be hosting our 7th annual Elementary Grades Track and Field Meet (Grades K-6th) on Saturday, June 23rd at
the Western Wayne High School Athletic Complex. The meet registration will be 9:00am in the morning at the
field house. The field events will begin at 10:00am. Track events will begin at 11:00am.
Track and Field is a great sport in which there are different events for different people. A meet like this
is a great opportunity to find out what you like, and what you can expect to see if you join track in middle and
high school! The Western Wayne Track Program invites you to participate in any events you would like to do.
Events from running, hurdling, jumping, to throws will be available!
The entry fee will be $5.00 for each event, or a flat fee of $15 per child. Registration will be a
notecard drop (as was done last year). When you arrive, you will buy separately, a note card for each
event your child will participate in. Simply fill out the note card and place it into the proper event
envelope at the registration table.
In each event and age group, awards will be given to the top 6 places. Food and beverage will be
available at our concession stand. All money raised from the meet will go to help the Western Wayne Track

Important Meet Tips:
Wear sneakers and comfortable clothing.
Bring your attached participant form.
If wanting to be in a relay, if you don’t have a full team you will
be matched with others who also do not!
Running every race or event is very hard. Choosing 3 or 4 that aren’t
back to back is a better idea.
Rain Date for this meet will be Sunday, June 24th with Registration
starting at Noon.
Both Coach Justin and Trina Collins took 4 girls who all qualified for the New Balance High School Track and Field Outdoor National Championships at North Carolina A & T, in Greensboro, North Carolina the weekend of June 15-17, 2018. Trina Barcarola qualified or the Emerging Elite Pole Vault and the 300 hurdles. The 4 x 400 Relay Team of Annie Skirpan, Samantha Atcavage, Elizabeth Pulice, and Trina Barcarola also qualfied.
Trina competed on Friday, June 15 in the pole vault event and jumped 11’2.5 placing 20th out of 36th in the country, and oh yeah, did we mention she is only a sophomore!!
On Sunday the 4 x 400 Relay team, all Juniors except for Trina, finished 25th out of 44th.
Congratulations to all of our athletes and we can’t wait until next year to see what happens as they are ALL COMING BACK!!

Band and Color Guard perform at the GDS Fair.
The annual Western Wayne Marching Band and Color Guard performance at the GDS Fair was especially eventful this year because on the day of their performance Wednesday, August 28, WNEP’s Kurt Aaron and his infamous dog Ranger were also there doing live spots. Aaron briefly interviewed Western Wayne band member Michael Olivo, a senior. Michael proudly told the viewing audience about Western Wayne’s upcoming performance at the fair.
“It was really exciting to get to promote our band to a TV audience,” Michael said.
The students were thrilled to perform their 2024-25 Boy Bands themed field show for the audience along with playing some fan favorite stand tunes.
Drum majors this year are seniors Lia Hartman and Kalob Franko. This is Lia’s second season as drum major.
“We are all so grateful to be able to perform for the local community who is so supportive of us,” Lia said.
The Western Wayne Band is under the direction of Mrs. Elaine Ort who is now in her 11th season with the district.
The entire Western Wayne Band and Color Guard invite the local community to attend the first home game of the season for varsity football against Lackawanna Trail on Friday, August, 30, at the Sharkey-Rosetti stadium. Western Wayne to Host Annual Car Show Saturday, Sept. 7—NEW RAIN DATE! August 27, 2024The Western Wayne Hot Rod Club and Drama Club will host their 2024 Annual Car Show on Saturday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the high school parking lot, 1970A Easton Turnpike, Lake Ariel, PA, near the football stadium. Please note our NEW RAIN DATE is Sunday, September 15.Food to be sold at the concession stand. Registration fee is $10. Spectators are free. The Hot Rod Club will give prizes for best car, truck, tractor, motorcycle, and best in show.In addition, the Drama group will sell a variety of concessions. There will also be a raffle of baskets and gift certificates generously donated by businesses and families in the local community.Drama Club student Robert Scramuzza is excited to partner with the Hot Rod Club for the for the Car Show. He explained how the Drama Club students will be dressed in 50s attire for the event.“We wanted our presence at the event to go along with the variety of cars from the past that surely will be there,” Bobby said. “We hope that the public comes out to enjoy the cars and to have some good food and purchase some chances to win baskets and gift certificates.”Members of the Drama Parents Club are working to obtain a variety of items for the raffle at the Car Show from many very generous businesses and families in our Wildcat community.
