PRE K-12

TO REGISTER FOR SCHOOL,
A NEW STUDENT MUST BE:

  • A resident of the Western Wayne School District
    (Proof of residency is required)
  • 4 years old on or before September 1 for Pre-K
  • 5 years old on or September 1 for Kindergarten

Students currently enrolled in a Western Wayne Pre-K program do not need to register again for Kindergarten

Parents/Guardians should make every effort to register their child atleast a month prior to the school year. This will ensure you receive orientation information and will also assist in classroom planning.

 

REGISTRATION FOR PRE-K AND 12TH GRADE

  1. Start by downloading the enrollment forms on the right.
  2. After completing all the forms and assembling all other required documentation, make an appointment with the registration personnel by calling 1-800-321-9973, Option 5.
  3. Bring additional forms and required documents to the administration office at appointed time to complete the registration process.
  4. Ensure that you have your child’s immunization records.

**If your child has a special condition/mental, physical, or health disability, please provide medical documentation from your physician and any accommodations that your child may need at school.**

***Effective September 26, 2019, all children from the age of six (6) through the age of eighteen (18) must comply with compulsory school attendance requirements.  To meet these requirements, parents must ensure that their child between the ages of 6 and 18 is attending or participating in one of the following: a public elementary, middle, or high school; a public charter or cyber-charter school; a private licensed academic or private religious school; home tutoring by a certified teacher; or an approved program of home schooling.  Children may be excused from compulsory attendance for documented medical or other compelling reasons as outlined in District attendance policy and procedures.

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS

PRE-K

  1. Diphtheria and Tetanus Toxoid – Initial series
    (3 doses)
  2. Polio
    (3 doses)
  3. MMR
    (1 dose)
  4. Hepatitis B
    (3 doses)
  5. Varicella Vaccine
    Chickenpox Vaccine
    (1 dose or diagnosis of disease or laboratory testing)

KINDERGARTEN

  1. Diphtheria and Tetanus Toxoid
    (Must include booster dose after age 4)
  2. Polio
    (3 doses)
  3.  MMR
    (2 doses)
  4. Hepatitis B
    (3 doses)
  5. Varicella Vaccine
    Chickenpox Vaccine
    (2 doses or diagnosis of disease or laboratory testing)

IN ADDITION  for MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL

  1. Meningitis Vaccine and Tdap (Prior to entering 7th Grade)
    (1 dose)
  2. Meningitis (Prior to entering 12th Grade)
    (1 doses)
